With the satellite and the immediate likelihood of 
satellite broadcasting to all parts of the world 
simultaneously, the little round schoolhouse has 
turned the planet into a form of an art work; as the 
satellites go around the planet, the planet becomes 
not the human habitat so much as an art form, a 
kind of nostalgic piece of camp as the popular word 
puts it.
